FAULT

When WinTab fails to start, the pen will work like a mouse, but there will be no WinTab service so the pen will not be pressure sensitive, or have eraser support in any WinTab applications such as Satori.

SOLUTION

The fix is to enter the following key into the registry.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WTclass] "Start"=dword:00000001

This can be done easily by downloading ntpatch.reg [LINK] and double clicking on it.
